Justification of choice of planned media components
I have chosen to advertise the drink through the use of a billboard advert, poster and a social media graphic.I chose the billboard advert because it directly targets the target audience.This is because the target audience of which is middle aged people will mostly be driving, and therefore meaning most of the customers that are targeted will be driving past the advert.They'll be displayed in a busy area like a town centre for example,because the middle aged people will have jobs in the town,which is my secondary audience.Also it can hit my primary audience as the secondary audience might have kids that fit my 13-18 demographic.
Posters are generally picked up/seen by a range of ages as they can be in shop windows,on bus stops,and in places where everyone goes about.The poster is going to be bright with colours which is red and pink, meaning it sticks to the colour theme, while at the same time catches the readers attention,this is important as catching the readers attention is what draws them into to wanting to purchase the drink.As i mentioned earlier,posters are seen by a range of people so this type of advertising technique will be targeted towards my primary and secondary audience.This is because all ages go to shops and walk around places that are going to have these posters around.
With regards to the social media graphic, i decided to go with a design which is going to pop out in a 3D motion which generally appeals to the younger and middle aged audience.Through the use of bright colours,and implementing the captions of strawberry laces,and this will appeal to the younger generation 13-18.The social media graphic will be the advertising more aimed at the primary audience because the 13-18 year olds are more likely to be more active on social media then the 30+year old demographic.
The colour scheme is one of the most important parts of an advert,because it has to link to the brands identity,this is because when someone goes into a shop and sees that colour can, they will recognise it instantly as Phizzwizzard.This will be largely due to the fact that the three different types of adverts has the exact same colour scheme, therefore resulting in a trigger with the brain when they see the same colour can in a store.The main colour theme is pink and red,which can be seen as warm colours and therefore can create this idea of Phizzwizard being a comfort.
I chose the slogan "Phizz up your life"because it demonstrates to the target audience to let go and have fun which can help them to remember their childhood and about having fun,which can also relate to this idea of eating strawberry laces as it's a childhood sweet.With this slogan,it will help the target audience to reminisce about there past,and have this feeling of warmth and comfort which could possibly result to the increase in sales in Phizzwizzard.The colour and fonts help target the demographic because they stand out.
